We have got together with a gang of our favourite creatives down here in Dorset, to put on an amazing event to showcase some of the brilliant ‘stuff’ that people are making locally.
We’re on the look out for talented local artists who want to be a part of the first Show & Tell Pop Up Shop.
Who?
If you’re a painter, printmaker, sculptor, designer, textile artist or are a whizz at any other creative trade, and you’re working in or around Dorset then you could be just what we’re looking for.
For many makers and artists, the place to collaborate, talk and sell stuff has increasingly been in a virtual, online world, through forums such as ‘Etsy’ and ‘Not For The High Street’.
Through Show & Tell, we want to bring this back into the real world so we can make friends, learn from each other and be inspired by those living and working around us. It’s our vision to put on a weekend exhibition where we can all show, share and have fun. If you would like to join in and be part of this then please read on.
When?
Our first event will take place On Friday 29th July to Sunday 31st July, and there’ll be different events during this weekend, including music, food, performance and exhibits.
Where?
We’re really lucky to have been lent an amazing property to bring you the Show & Tell Pop Up Shop. We’ve got a great venue: St Peter’s Hall, 6 Hinton Road, Bournemouth, BH1 2EN, where there’s plenty for space for everything we want to do.
This was formally a nightclub you may have known as ‘Crank’.
How?
If you’ve got work you’d like to show us & tell people about then please download and complete this form, and email it to info@TheShowAndTellPopUpShop.co.uk Once we’ve reviewed the submissions, we’ll be in touch with those who we’d like to join us this time round. We’ll be asking each artist to pay an admin fee of £20 but they’ll get to keep 100% of their sales.

About:

Revolting is a small studio with great big ideas.

Ideas that they realise in the form of branding, brand application, print based communications and creative and cost effective print management.

Some of the best ideas require the help of talented and creative friends. Revolting always look to work with the very best to provide exciting photography, video, audio, copy-writing and web & multimedia solutions.

"Not being able to do everything is no excuse for not doing everything you can."

Revolting specialise in working with Educational, Arts, Charitable and Public Sector organisations. For these clients, as well as for most people in today's climate, there is a great need to make every penny of their budget work for them. With this in mind, Revolting always look for creative ideas that give value for money at the same time as striving to minimise any environmental impact.

Revolting work with you, not for you. They get to know you and help you discover what it is you are trying to say. They then find the right idea to say it, an idea that will get you seen, heard and understood.
