We are very proud that we were asked to complete an employing branding project with the IB after competing against a number of internationally renowned agencies based in France and Belgium. This was a large scale recruitment marketing campaign comprising of a wide range of different outcomes including brand guidelines, job advertisement templates, posters, brochures, exhibition materials and web banners.
We were then invited back three years later to build upon the work we had previously completed and create a whole new range of materials that reflected the changes in the organisation and the global recruitment marketplace.
International Baccalaureate came to us to create new sub brand for IB Connect, a new internal communication tool for staff to use to improve collaboration, communication and participation.
We developed three concepts with the below being chosen as the final mark to take forward.
We also designed a promotional poster to advertise the new intranet to IB staff.
From our initial research we distilled our ideas to three distinct concepts. These were based on the architectural features of the Hague’s skyline, the cities symbol, the stork, and a mixture of typography and photography.
These were presented to the client for initial feedback, who decided they wished to peruse a typographical route.
With these valuable comments we went back to the drawing board.
After presenting these ideas we developed the chosen concept below, investigating a range of different colour options until one standout solution presented itself.
The IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC) is a new qualification from International Baccalaureate. We were asked to create a fresh, new design, to communicate these changes to the IB’s offering whilst keeping continuity with the rest of the brand.
Here is an example of another piece of internal communications for our client, the International Baccalaureate. We were asked to produce a number of banners in a variety of languages, to be displayed in their offices internationally, to point members of staff to their newly set up ‘help desk’ website.
International Baccalaureate : Liverpool Conference
We were asked to provide all of the branded materials for the recent International Baccalaureate Conference, at the BT Convention Centre in Liverpool. Frequent communication between all parties involved ensured that each element was completed and delivered in plenty of time. We project managed a range of suppliers and stake holders based all over Europe, including Cardiff, Liverpool, Dorchester and Geneva, to ensure smooth delivery of the whole project.
From design of the initial identity, we went on to create various elements for the conference. We created a detailed 60 page programme which we then, with the help of IB staff, translated into French and Spanish. We were also responsible for all the additional conference paraphernalia such as various banners, floor and window graphics and individually named identity cards.
“The team at Revolting not only showed their creative ability when they presented us with the core concept, but importantly they demonstrated again and again how they could carry the concept through all the materials the project required. During the production phase we were looking for attention to detail and the ability to respond rapidly to our required changes. Again the team at Revolting far exceeded our expectations and liaised with numerous suppliers to ensure that we didn’t have to.”

We recently organised a photo shoot on behalf of the International Baccalaureate (an international examination board) for a publication they were having produced in the United States.
There was a very tight schedule to get this project completed. We rose to the challenge and managed to cast nine models to a very specific criteria, source a suitable school location and compile a crew of stylists and assistants within four days of being briefed.
Our Creative Director, Ross Cleaver art directed Photographer Andy Whale to capture a range of different scenarios in an intense yet exciting day long shoot.
International Baccalaureate : Teachers Award Brochure
“The IB teacher awards confer upon the holder a qualification that signifies that they have successfully completed a rigorous academic course of study in the context of one of the three IB programmes.”
We have worked with the IB to create this document giving information about these qualifications.
This year saw the evolution of the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) prestigious Peterson Lecture in to a bigger, more comprehensive event entitled the Peterson Symposium. These events have been devised to commemorate the commitment of Alec Peterson to the IB as its first director general from 1966–1977.
We were asked to create a brand that captured the personality of the man behind the organisation and, as every two years the symposium is to move to another location, we have created a mark that can adapt to reflect the flavour of the host city.
We designed all the IB conference banners and a range of printed literature in our Dorset studio. We co-ordinated the production phase with American suppliers to make sure that everything was waiting for our Cardiff clients when they stepped off the plane in Atlanta.
For this large scale recruitment marketing campaign we oversaw a wide range of different outcomes including, employer branding guidelines, job advertisement templates, posters, brochures and exhibition banners.
It also included a photo shoot to ensure the right mix of children from various ethnic backgrounds, in order to correctly promote the IB as an international educational foundation. We are very proud that this project was won after pitching against a number of internationally renowned agencies based in France and Belgium.
