Revolting is the proud receipient of a European Lovie Award.
The Lovie Awards recognise the unique and resonant nature of the European Internet community. The awards are presented and judged by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, who are a leading body of experts, business figures, luminaries, creative celebrities and other Internet professionals.
The awards recieved almost 700 entries from 20 European countries and Revolting won an award within the Education and Reference category for an interactive ‘Secret Safari’ on Brownsea Island which we produced for the National Trust.
The purpose of the project was to increase young people’s interest in Brownsea Island. To achieve this the National Trust wanted to create an alternative guide to the island. Using inspiration of the unique habitat of Brownsea, Revolting worked with pupils from a local school to create unique creatures that are captured by visitors scanning QR codes at hidden locations around the island.

Wherigo Game
Wherigo is a GPS based activity created by the people who invented Geocaching that can be played outdoors . Wherigo is a mix between an adventure game and a Geocache search. The user takes a part in a story that takes advantage of information provided by the GPS telling the device where you are physically residing to trigger in-game events, such as reaching a virtual object or interacting with characters. Completing an adventure can require reaching different locations and solving puzzles.
Currently ‘official’ software needed to play Wherigo is only available for a small number of mobile platforms, specifically Windows Mobile phones and Garmin GPS devices. However there are unofficial apps freely available including ‘PiGo’ for the Apple iPhone and ‘Whereyougo’ for Android.
We have recently created a demonstration game in which the player has to help the ghost of a victorian girl find her long lost brother in the grounds of our local park. If you want to give it a go follow this link to see how you can get this game on your phone or GPS device. We can see Wherigo having huge potential for tourist attractions and branded outdoor games and activities.
Why not arrange a meeting with us to see how you can be part of the adventure.
