Revolting are proud to announce that we are now working with our friend Tina Seamonster, to develop her range of hand made products.
Tina is based in Washington DC, where she makes a wide range of zombie paper products for Books-A-Million, a major US bookstore, as well as selling them through her online store on Etsy (the internets marketplace for handmade goods).
She has delivered over 30,000 pieces in the last year, all made by hand in her living room production line.
Having collaborated on a couple of projects in the past, Tina approached us with the idea to redesign her entire range and help develop some new ones. The first wave of these have already been picked up by Books-A-Million, with more to follow soon.

All illustrations created in house by Revolting, apart from Obama, drawn by Chris Piers.

We have just updated our Etsy with some new prints. These have been made either at one of the brilliant one day workshops arranged by the Arts University College Bournemouth, as part of the design buddy programme, or the “Alt P” ongoing workshop, hosted at Weymouth College.

Project Hero
“The Stan Lee Foundation and Todd McFarlane invite comics artists to create a superhero character that will excite a global audience. What can your superhero do? What are your superhero’s special powers? How can they help the world?”
This is the result of a day long workshop headed up by Revolting Art + Design, in collaboration with Seven Spring Studios (photography) and Digibug (web design and model). The day started off with a brainstorming session over a full english at our current favourite cafe down by the beach. We then split up with different missions, ranging from buying tights to fit a strapping young gent and making a bandolier from hastily sourced pantone pens, to constructing a cape made from Design Week back issues.
We recorded the whole day on twitter under the hashtag #projecthero, which provided us with a lot of encouragement from our various followers on the net.

Ross is really enjoying the current ‘History of Horror’ series on BBC4 with the brilliant Mark Gatiss. It is stirring up lots of fond childhood memories of sneaking downstairs to watch a late night serving of murder and mayhem whilst his mum snores away on the sofa, unaware that her sons mind was being beautifully warped beside her.
This poster of the ‘Masque Of The Red Death’ flashed up momentary on this weeks episode which brought back a host of bizarre half remembered images. Brilliant stuff. They don’t make movies like that  any more and they certainly don’t make posters like this, more is the pity.
Oh, Happy Halloween by the way.

Limbo by Play Dead Games

We have been blown away by this incredibly beautiful 2d platformer available for download on XBox Live. The visuals are hauntingly reminiscent of early silent cinema (see our previous post for news of an exciting FREE screening of Nosferatu coming up in Weymouth town centre).

If you have access to a Xbox, even if you don’t normally play video games, you have to give this a go.

Big Bag Big Boom

An amazing stop motion graffiti animation by BLU, depicting the big bang and the evolution of life and the planet.

It’s hard to comprehend the amount of planning, time and effort that has gone into producing something this stunning.

Recently Ross attended a comic book convention and he came across a load of back issues of Secret Wars Two that he once had as a kid. This particular cover managed to burn itself into the imagination of the little geeky nine year old as he never forgot it.
“How much…? 10p… Sold!”
